Calcite is great and all, but it's got to be celestine for me!

Ever since I first heard of it when I was wee, I loved the idea of it. #StrontiumSulfate🤩

It's been a romantic mineral for me too: it helped introduce me to my wife Cath, who miraculously turned out to come from Yate, home of some of the largest worked celestine deposits during the C20th 🥰 She used to play in the old "spar pits"...

We have a nice bit of Yate celestine in the house: here it is 😊 😍
