I was just describing Mastadon to my husband: it's a bit like Twitter but without the shite.

I went away to do some work and when I got back on here...wow. Thanks for all the follows—I’m not used to this kind of activity. I’ve followed back. This is turning out to be the kind of community I was looking for.

I've been thinking about a Mastadon acc for a couple of years (heard about it on micro.blog) but it wasn't until #TwitterExodusScotland that I finally jumped in.

Okay, so I’ve just set up this .scot profile after doing the whole “hello world” post on my original profile. Going to delete the old one—no point migrating as too new. Off to find the pro-indy folk I follow(ed) on Twitter.
