Learned a new expression today from the early 1900’s used to describe certain politicians - “Die Hards”.

Die Hards were arch-Conservatives who believed in the racial superiority of the British and the vital importance of the Raj.

Not a lot has changed in the last 100 years then .........

@Teamemmenracing And before and during the American War of Independence, the Brit simpathisers were called Loyalists.
Fun fact, one of them was Flora McDonald, you know, Bonnie Prince Charlie her maid, escape.
Her husband raised a militia, 1000 men, who promptly got beat by the Yanks. They lost everything and beat it back to Engerland.
