@stevenwoodson I was freelance a few years ago, and did a similar exercise but for people and industries.

I did short jobs with non-technical customers, really judging how friendly they were.

And for industries, I found that mattered to me more than a lot of the technical stuff as it gave me a bit more drive and satisfaction. I ended up specialising in websites for artists, photographers and art/photo galleries which was a nice niche to have!
