Took a “nap” at 6pm last night. I told myself beforehand that I’d wake up at 8 or 9 to have dinner. I did manage to wake up at 9...AM 😅 guess I was really tired.

OK note-to-self: only have an Indian takeaway *after* you’ve worked out. Even waiting more than 3 hours (after eating) before you exercise can result in heartburn 🥵 but I survived!

@patkalynych I like the idea of things being a shared experience. Indeed, our local leftists often go by Ka-[name] to signify that they are with the people in their struggle

One of my favourite things about Tagalog (my other native language) is that the “ka” prefix is used to signify that someone is with you.

“Kaklase” = classmate
“Katrabaho” = workmate
“Kasintahan” = lover

I send my family workout updates & they’re always so shocked that I like to work out at night. Surely I can’t be the only one who prefers this? The ideal for me is to work out, shower, then go to bed 😂 never understood people who get “energised” by exercising lol

I’ve decided am gonny ask my work if I can get more WFH opportunities once lockdown is over. Wouldn’t want to do this full-time but I reckon a couple of times/week will be very good for my overall health & work-life balance

Been alternating between HIIT & yoga since the quarantine started - and at this point I’ve been working out daily! Haven’t felt this fit in ages

Haven’t been on here in a while. Hope everyone’s keeping safe and healthy during this quarantine

@patkalynych Meanwhile when I tell other Scottish people I’m from Fife, they take it for what it is and offer their condolences 🤣 God bless civic nationalism

Whenever folk ask me where I’m from, my automatic response is to say I’m from Fife because, well, that’s where I’ve lived for years. It’s kinda funny when it’s a non-Scot asking because they end up confused by my answer — they were enquiring about my ethnicity 🤦🏻‍♀️

Love this interview with Anna Karina on her work has a director. Most interviews (as well as articles & sadly, obituaries) tend to focus on Anna-as-Godard’s-muse, so this is very refreshing.

@patkalynych Their reason for doing it? Some form of protest against female celebrities being held to ridiculously high beauty standards compared to males. So why not attack those standards instead? I’m a woman and I don’t see this furthering the cause.

@patkalynych The latest I’m seeing now is making fun of Lewis Capaldi for his looks. All I’ve heard from folk who’ve met him is that he’s a very kind person! Plus he’s wicked talented. I don’t understand why folk can be so mean.

I still have a twitter account as friends haven’t migrated to mastodon (yet 🤞🏼) but I’m really glad I can divide time between here & there because it really does get toxic. People are so hateful for no reason.

Spent 2 days in Glasgow, meeting with a friend and watching a concert. I always have such a wonderful time while there, it’s so vibrant and is my favourite city in Scotland. I’d consider moving there if I found a place I could afford

My background on a plate! Square sausage, sausage links, and black pudding 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 “silog” (garlic fried rice + egg) 🇵🇭
BTW, all this is vegetarian 🌱

My instagram feed’s been looking pretty lately thanks to some recent visits to Dundee & Edinburgh 🥰

Strange & unexpected connection between my 2 homes 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 🇵🇭

Although the article refers to him as an American, Carnegie is from Fife — where I now live

Wish I could live on the East Neuk of Fife. So gorgeous
