Since the influx of people coming from the birdsite, I've had quite a few follow requests from people with no bio, picture, or posts, meaning they're effectively asking to be allowed to look at me through a one-way window. “A principal rule for writers, and especially those who want to describe their own sensations, is not to believe that their doing so indicates they possess a special disposition of nature in this respect. Please join me in supporting #ScottishGreens MSP Gillian Mackay’s member’s bill to introduce safe-access buffer zones around #abortion clinics
No one should have to run the gauntlet of anti-choice protesters harassing them as they try to access healthcare
As we see the US sadly taking a few steps backwards, let’s not follow them, but instead keep up the progressive momentum in Scotland

"At a big bank like ours, what do people think the average loan length is?" he asked. "It is six years. What happens to the planet in year seven is actually irrelevant to our loan book. For coal, what happens in year seven is actually irrelevant." Stuart Kirk, HSBC.
When Kim Stanley Robinson argues that economic modelling and bankers ate the problem, this is exactly what they are talking about:
But if Stuart Kirk loses their job because they were just a little too honest, they will simply be replaced by someone who upholds the same institutions, more politely.
Dear open source users,
If the author of your favorite open source app has announced they stopped developing and supporting the app (because they're frustrated and possibly burned out), please don't suggest they do more free work so that you can continue using the app.
Instead, consider thanking them for their past work and let them know that you enjoyed their app.
