@McNige fungi are such an alien life form! There was a recent episode of Brian Cox+Robin Ince's "Infinite Monkey Cage"on fungi - mind blowing!
When I was a botany student (over 40 years ago), I was taught about fungi in the most boring way possible. I didn't understand them at all and was happy to leave them behind. It's good our understanding of fungi and their place in the world has changed so much!
