That piece made me think of the Blair quote, which I'm bound to muller, when told that Murdoch wanted to meet with him, 'Well you go, don't you? '
The whole piece, this one & perm 1 from many pre 1997, just smacks of subservience. It's not the potential, if not likely, next PM of the UK meeting to discuss their vision of a just UK with the head of an incredibly powerful, unelected institution. No, it's them seeing what they will be allowed to do in government!
