Capitalism is like nuclear power: generating great energies when controlled; destroying when not. Whose job is it to control capitalism? I would argue it’s ours. We, the polity, are the control rods of capitalism. The climate problem may well be laid at the feet of oil executives and the great capitalists, but it’s ultimately a political failing.
