One of the more unusual animals which can be found in Glasgow's architecture is this beautifully carved, if slightly odd-looking, walrus above the door of 190 West George Street.

@sara2309 It is great, but I'm not convinced the sculpture had ever seen a real walrus, and instead based it on an otter. This is one of a pair, but the another one on the left hand side of the door lintel has unfortunately, lost a tusk at some point over the years.
@thisismyglasgow I agree, but that is probably what makes him magnificent. Sad about his mirror image.
