This Is My Glasgow

Window into the central hall of the three-storey brick prison block at the rear of the former Police Station and Municipal Buildings on Orkney Street in Govan. Built around the end of the 1800s, the block contained 40 cells.

A red sandstone window set in a blonde brick wall of an old prison block at the rear of the former Govan Police Station. It has Greek-style columns, topped by a pediment and still retains the original iron bars.
