Ink & Wax

Learning how to make my first Dresden plate. Used some muslin as a test. I also wanted to experiment with coloring fabric with different mediums. This has some interesting possibilities. I don’t have permanent and washable mediums, but it was fun for a test. The rubber stamp is an older one from arts

Four pieced fabrics in a quarter of a Dresden fan (think elongated diamond like long necktie shape). The fabrics are a mix of floral, plain muslin tan, a purple and pink gradient, and a orange and red gradient.
The red rubber side of a very busy and dense floral rubber stamp. Dark ink stains some parts of the design.
Tan muslin fabric with a stamped floral design in black ink. Some leaves are partially colored in shades of green. The fabric sits atop a messy ink stained work surface.
