"To Skype" used to be _the_ verb for video calling. Grandparents who couldn't turn on their computers nevertheless looked forward to Skyping their loved ones.

But Microsoft bought them before the pandemic, and were dicking about with Teams while Zoom took the ball and ran.

Being bought by Microsoft was suicide.
