The larger than life-sized effigy of Robert the Bruce in the magical, beautiful and distinctly eccentric St Conan's Kirk, overlooking the north shore of Loch Awe in Argyll. The effigy is carved from wood with alabaster face and hands. More pics and info: undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/loc

The image shows the upper half of the larger than life-size effigy lying on its back with its helmeted and crowned head on the right and its arms folded over its stomach on the left. It is dark brown save for a very light alabaster face and hands. There is a window in the background with light coming in over the effigy.
