Should the #WelfareBenefits changes come about, some claimants would look at intensive job training, as planned by the Government, as “punishment” and would struggle to engage with the process if their benefits were reduced at the same time.

IMO...one of the main failings in this concept across all party's who have historically tried to get folks who have a #disability or have been on #long term sick back into employment is a basic truth... #Employers will not #employ them, including, government NHS and Local authorities...
@alexlac51 @Geri for small/medium size organisations its not even out of spite or malice - even if they have all the accessibility infrastructure and equipment they genuinely don't have the slack time/resources. My employers have hired young people with mental health and physical problems, the intensity of work even in the admin office has still been too much for them (not their fault or even the companies but the wider issues of ruthless capitalism which demands companies remain quite lean)
