The #IllegalMigrationBill was a terrible mistake by the Tory Govt. It's a stain on their reputation that will persist through the next election and for a long time afterwards. Voting against both protections for children and against the #ModernSlaveryAct is unforgettable cruelty.

In the U.K. this week, the Illegal Migration Bill will be given Royal Assent. King Charles will be forced to sign into law an act that he thinks is appalling and knows is illegal.

Unless he wants to create a constitutional crisis that will bring about the end of his reign, he will have no choice in the matter.
