I joined the repair people this month for the first time, and was happy to do some fixing.

I met a number of very kind people, and it is unbelievably rewarding to help people and see how that cheers them up - even if their problems are kind of silly.

I'll definitely be present again in one and a half weeks time!

Alright, after talking with someone tonight, I am truly an uneducated moron when it comes to French history. I've ordered four books on Napoleon and two more on the French Revolution, adding to the three I have now. Hopefully that should do the trick.

I'm truly ashamed that it's taken me this long to learn all this important historical knowledge (the American educational system, natch). But given the present moment, I feel an obligation to know.

#OTD in 1815, Napoléon is acclaimed back in Paris. He enters the city unopposed and goes to the Tuileries palace to establish his new government. Louis XVIII had fled during the night. The “vol de l’aigle” was over. War would soon ensue though… #history #Napoleon
