@ArchaeoIain I have experienced the effects of #Evangelicals in leadership positions in two different Pharma companies. Radically different cultures within the same industry. One American with the evangelical hateful and restrictive. The other French, open, embracing, and social. The tone is set from the top.
It's amazing to me that both the secular and evangelical cults within MAGA are apocalyptic in nature, with their own versions of "the rapture". For TESCREALists, it's the singularity. For Evangelicals, it's disappearing into the ether to "meet with Jesus"
Fanatical Christians practicing tactics that will eventually be used in Israel, and against Jews everywhere.

#Republican hate & fear-mongering goes back a bit further than #Fox.
If I were to pinpoint a specific year/person, it would be 1994 when #NewtGingrich went scorched-Earth to destroy the #Democratic Party in order to win back control of the house after 40 years.
Before that, Dem Speaker of the House Tip O'Neil was good friends with Reagan. The two Parties actually worked together.
The #GOP then embraced #Evangelicals and they went to war.
