Tonight is the final practice before Roots Morris step, blinking, into the public next week. It's been an intense few months, (with dancers younger and fitter than me!) but also fantastic. I can't wait to show the world what we've learnt. #manchester #folkmusic #folkdance #morrisdancing

I didn’t spot that the video the Morris Fed said they would do for @RedCuthbert had been finalised and can now be found on the side website - based around a clip from last summer of us dancing Captain Lanoe’s Skirmish that we learned from the ex foreman of now defunct Woodside who wrote it, so a Cotswold dance although we mostly do border…. See it on the side website/blog here:
Our 18 December filming was finally put out by ITV on New Year’s Day, though they’ve dated the piece Christmas Eve…

Changeling Morris is born!
In two weeks' time we'll meet to perform a dance informed by neurodivergent experiences.
We still have space for a few more dancers if anyone fancies an afternoon of silliness in Whaley Bridge (Derbyshire, UK) on 21st September.
there's another #video where this came from: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YGM6E1KxfpE #folkdance #morris #jig
claim to fame: I was there when they tie-dyed those dungarees and handkerchiefs : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5JJIyLqCZY #folk #folkdance #jig #morris #WhitbyFolkWeek
@doctroid
Looking at this picture, because of the foreshortening, I thought those were children
Then it seemed like maybe they all had gray-haired wigs on?
Which, you know, #MorrisDancing, disguises & wigs wouldn’t be totally unheard of
But making kids wear gray-haired wigs would be feeding painful stereotypes
