Mein Garten ist voll mit Holzbienen, die gerade fleißig damit beschäftigt sind, die nächsten Generationen zu erschaffen. Die Männchen dieser Art haben orangefarbige Fühlerspitzen und sind damit gut von anderen Arten utnerscheidbar.

P. nymphula has made its earliest appearance so far, with late-April to early-May previously having been the time frame in which the first local odanata mark the peak of spring. Taking into account that temperatures are set to rise further and little rain being expected to reach my region towards the end of this week, we currently are set for a drought worse than 2018. And half of my local farmers are switching to wheat at the same time.

Ein Cevennen-Apollo im Angesicht der ersten goldenen Sonnenstrahlen. Gibt nicht viele mir bekannte Stellen, an denen man diese Bergfalter so bequem zu Sonnenauf- oder -untergang fotografieren kann, wie auf den weiläufigen Steppenplateaus im Zentralmassiv. Auf Gotland klappt sowas noch gelegentlich, oder im Jura, sonst sind immer die Berge im Weg und die Sonne hat schon/noch zu viel Kraft, wenn sie denn auftaucht oder verschwindet.
